Latest boys state soccer poll: one Section III team makes a huge leap

Syracuse, N.Y. — Tully’s trip to the state Class C boys soccer final four has earned it an appropriate promotion in the latest New York State Sportswriters Association poll, released Tuesday.
The Black Knights (16-5) soared six spots from No. 9 to No. 3 in advance of its showdown vs. No. 4 Allegany-Limestone on Friday. The pace-setter from Section III remains Westhill (18-1-1), which retains its hold on the No. 1 position in Class B.
